The Closed Gate

A gate that stays shut keeps out the people who have no business inside. Your chats are treated the same way.

What we keep

  • What you give us on signing up: an email address, a salted password hash, a first name, a birth date and a gender, plus whatever you write on your homestead.
  • Your chats and the notes she keeps about you, which is how she remembers.
  • A session cookie, and one that notes you crossed the adults-only border.
  • Payment records, meaning the amount and the transfer reference. Cards are never taken, so we never see one.
  • Standard server logs, held briefly for security.

What we use it for

All of it exists so the chat can run, the code can be enforced and the site can stay up. A language model that we host ourselves, or a provider we have bound by contract, writes her replies from your messages, and a safety filter looks over what passes through. Nobody pays for access to your conversations, and no advertiser ever reads them.

Counting visitors

A basic analytics counter tells us how many people arrive and from which country. It never reads a chat.

Your controls

From a chat's menu you can edit what she has noted about you, copy the conversation out, or strike it. To erase the whole account, write to the footer mailbox from the email you signed up with. If your local law gives you additional rights, tell us which and we will honor them.
